Good job Raiders, they needed to put their foot on the Chiefs throat and they did it, if they can get the O-line figured out, this team still has a good shot at winning the west division.

I wrote that the defense will be the most improved defense in the league and they are starting to show that they can be that defense. Plenty of successful blitzes and stunts upfront that terrorized their QB's all day long. I see Kelly and Seymour having their roles reduced, both are still stuck in the last system. Linebacker was supposed to be a weakness coming into this year, Burris and Wheeler are without a doubt, not a weakness. McClain needs to stop with his dumb reads (doubt it), if he could, the trio would be amazing. Defense carried the team today, a few big plays on offense was all that was needed. Keep it up and improve every week and the Raiders could win the division.

Where are all the Routt lovers? He was BURNED and his usual penalty machine play and you guys wanted McKenzie to keep him for how many million a year? I bet Routt wishes he would have taken a paycut, maybe, McKenzie wanted to dump him anyways?

Awful Quiet Around Here And I KNOW Why *

KC is worse than I thought, but we didn't lay down to a sorry team as we have in the past. A couple key drops made and this game would've gotten uglier for KC.

The coaches have this team playing. Again, the talent-less D is playing pretty good ball right now. DA/RM & Tarver have this team playing ball. Just think if we could run the ball.

* Side note:

The trolls don't come around to this site when we win.

Telltale.
The raider's offense must continue to get better

the offense is struggling and should have scored 2 to 3 more touchdowns against the chief. Hell, they were in the redzone 3 other tines and just came a way with 3 pts. thats not going to get it done agfainst the elite teams.
That zone blocking scheme will be the weak link against tough defenses like the niners, bears, and packers etc.
The raider's need to improve their offense . this offense from knapp is not consistent. You don't know what you will get week in and week out.
Defense is playing solid despite players that are just average
on defense.
Did anyone see the head blow?

I didn't see Brady Quinn get hit or even a replay of it. I think Romeo knew he made a mistake early on and made the switch back. I have to admit I was a little worried when Cassel came in the game.

We do need to pump the breaks a little...We beat the worst team in the league. The best part about that is that we are no longer the worst team in the league.

What I like is that Allen is identifying the issues and acting. The diminished playing time for #'s 55, 92, and 93 is working out great. 92 still had to give up a 3rd down 15 yard dumb ass move which led to their TD. In the film study that play and how that series ended should be a main example of what we have to stop doing.

DMAC got over a hundred 2 yards at a time. The zone blocking is not working to well. It's so obvious DMAC's talents are being wasted by Knapp. You don't have a player with #20's skills change to fit your scheme, you build around his talent. Not even sure if Knapp knows how. He just dusted off an old book he found.

At this point my only complaint is Knapp. I think we are improving in most areas.

This Sunday will be a good test for this team. They should come out fired up and wanting to get to 500. Tampa reflects their head coaches tough attitude and we need to exceed their energy.

The raider's offensively will not come off firing against the the bucs

I am telling you and everyone here probably agrees. Knapp's offense , ZBS is the problem. Against good teams like the Bucs the raider's will struggle. they will continue to struggle in the red zone. Why? Because if they are still using this knapp-powerless offense than the raider's will continue to struggle. REMEMBER THE RAIDERS WERE IN THE REDZONE 3TIMES AND THEY COULDN'T MOVE IT IN FOR A TD AGAINST THE HAPLESS CHIEFS. AND THE BUCS HAVE A WAY BETTER DEFENSE THAN THE CHIEFS.
THIS IS A TELLING GAME. IF THE RAIDER'S LOSE YOU 'LL KNOW WHY. THERE OFFENSE STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
some thoughts...

...I still hate the ZBS, Knapp sucks, the scheme sucks...

...I hate seeing DMC running straight into a wall...

...Carson Palmer is playing som every good football...

...Denarius Moore is still not at 100%, but is still electrifying...

...Our no/name D, is really buying into the scheme, proof that good coaching and a good scheme will always trump elite talent...

...Am I the only one concerned about Lechler? Is that knee still an issue? Is his age finally showing up? Is this simply a down year? I dont remeber ever seeing an unblocked Lechler punt have less that a 3sec hangtime, we saw that vs. the chiefs...
Al saunders influence

It was a smart move for Reggie Mac to keep a holdover from the hue jackson coaching staff and that of course was Al Saunders. Al was a confidant of the great Al. both Al's had respect for one another. The Great Al Davis also wanted to get Al Saunders on the coaching staff and finally was able to get him.Al Saunders is a great offensive mind and part of his learning was form Al Davis and Air Coryell. My sources say that the raiders are using more of the power scheme as well as the zbs. Al Saunder's is a big part of that change.
FINALLY

these coaches seen a problem and started working with the players they had and not force feed a scheme I am impressed... and jacked up! Bring on those Bucs we still have some payback to give them... i thought i noticed something different in the 4th qtr and now i read that we are going to be running power and ZBS, Sky is the limit for this offense i no doubt think mcfadden is the best back in the league and with these cuffs just about off the rest of the nfl will realize it too and what about our run D ?! the best part about these changes is that they are coming while we are winning..
